  2. BR6: Here To Stay Review: We raved over five-man, one woman BR6's debut recording, "Rio A Cappella," and have been eagerly waiting for their second. First let us praise the marvelous, Beatles-flavored graphics and photos in the liner notes, some of the best we've ever seen, and a perfect complement to the smooth, latin sound the group applies to one of our all-time favorite tunes, George.
  3. Trio de violões + percussão que executa temas de compositores renomados da MPB (Milton Nascimento, Edu Lobo, Djavan, Tom Jobim, Ivan Lins, entre outros) no formato instrumental, com arranjos próprios, além de músicas autorais.
  4. In this CD, Marvio has also made an arrangement for the well known samba from João Bosco and Aldir Blanc, 'Bala com Bala', which Marvio still plays at his gigs and at the time it even got a ballroom choreography signed by the dancer Jimmy (Rio de Janeiro).

  6. Apr 23,  · “Bala com Bala”, on its turn, is a sweet old school samba with that feel of a mesa de bar: just like an intimate group of friends happily singing merry songs, as they enjoy their time round a table in a bar that could be anywhere in Brazil.

  8. A pretty darn groovy album of tracks – issued here with a title that says "FM Stereo Programacao Especial", which we think means that it was a promo-only album for radio. The cuts are very nice breezy bossa-inflected instrumental tracks on the record, with kind of a nice 70's FM sound to them! Zimbo does their usual post-bossa groove, with a groovy mix of piano, bass, and drums.
  9. There are 18 songs on the CD, two from each group and two from '02 Champs, and very funny hosts, LA's Perfect Gentlemen, "Gimme Some Skin" and the guitar accompanied (!) "Meanest Thing You Ever Did Was Kiss Me.".
